DOPT DG Godwin Nyiam moves into streets in Calabar, Vacates Hawkers Selling in Strategic Spots in the City Centre


The Director General of Cross River State Department of Public Transport Mr. Godwin Nyiam on Tuesday sent off hawkers selling in locations that obstructs the free flow of traffic in the metropolis. He advised them to mount their selling spots in locations that won't hinder easy vehicular movement in the city centre.

Speaking to hawkers along Mobil by MCC, the DG stated that earlier notice had been served on the hawkers to vacate these areas that obstructs traffic, but some of the hawkers have failed to comply.
