Over 3500 persons have benefited from the just concluded Mediatrix Development Foundation /FaithCare International free medical outreach.
The free medical Outreach which is organised by MDF in partnership with FaithCareOutreach International is a free medical mission targeted at reaching out to every local government area of the state. We have been able to touch at least two Local government headquarters in the three geopolitical zones yet and we hope to continue in that pace so as to cover all areas of the state.
Some of the free services enjoyed by the beneficiaries include laboratory tests, blood pressure test, dental check-up and treatment, eye check and treatment, free consultation, free surgeries, free drugs, and counselling
Speaking at the the centre, the wife of governor and sponsor of the project said the sponsorship of the project was part of her efforts to see people doing well and living in good health. The governor's wife believes that healthy citizens translate to a healthy nation. She therefore enjoined everyone to take the issue of their health seriously at all times irrespective of what they do. She advised those who cannot afford medical treatment to always take due advantage of opportunities such as this outreach as the services offered is for that category we do this.
She further lauded the team for the great job and especially the FaithCareInternational group that made the project a reality.
Speaking on behalf of FaithCare group the head surgeon Dr Monday Yulkudi said "it is always a pleasure to be called upon to serve and we have had these frequent call from Dr. Mrs Linda Ayade and it shows how much love she has for her people and we will always make ourselves available when ever she calls".
It was a Five Day program that started on the 3rd and ended on the 7th of December 2018. MDF intends to carry out another outreach in the first quarter of 2019.
